Mouse Basics
This class is
for those new to computers and who need to learn to use the
computer mouse. Learn the basic skills of clicking,
double-clicking, scrolling, etc.

Keyboard Basics
Learn the
functions of the keys on your computer keyboard.

Introduction
to Word Processing
Learn to use
Microsoft Word to write letters and notes. Save what you type,
create a new document, open an existing one, and edit your
document. Practice using the backspace, delete, enter, tab,
spacebar, and insert keys. Learn to change margins and print the
document. You need to be familiar with a keyboard. You don’t
need to type fast, but you do need to be able to type.

Introduction
to PCs
This class
starts at the beginning…how to turn on your computer and
continues into the unique words associated with computers; such
as: CPU, memory, cd-rom, cd-rw, software. If computers make you
nervous or you’re just interested in the terminology, this is
the class for you. You need to be able to use a computer mouse
to take this class.

Internet Skills
What is the
Internet? How do I go to a web page, by the way, what is a web
site? Let’s surf!! Need to search for information on a topic,
you’ll learn how. This class is the starting point for how to
use the Internet.

will introduce the Windows operating system and basics of your
computer desktop. Find out what the background, dialog boxes,
windows, minimizing, etc. are.
