Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre & Wilkes University

partner to donate $8,191 to Osterhout Free Library

The Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre & Wilkes University are proud to announce a donation of $8,191 was recently made to the Osterhout Free Library. The funds were raised via the Annual George Ralston Golf Classic, held September 26h at Edgewood in the Pines in Drums. The donation will benefit children’s programs held throughout the year at the Osterhout Library and its three branches.

Donate to Luzerne County Library System 

The Luzerne County Library System is pleased to announce that the Yudichak Family Lighthouse Fund of the Luzerne Foundation has generously donated $5,000 to fund the 2014 County-wide Summer Reading Program. The Yudichak Family also funded the program in 2011, 2012 & 2013.

Fund 125th Anniversary Booklet

The Osterhout Free Library recently premiered a 125th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet. The booklet is a collection of stories, photos and history of the library through the eras of its nine Head Librarians from 1889 - 2014. Funding for the printing of the booklet was provided by The Luzerne Foundation and the Friends of the Osterhout Free Library.
FREE copies of the booklet are available at any of the four Osterhout Branches.
